Blessed are the Pure in Heart
Food for thought – JUST IMAGINE!!
Just imagine if ALL the evil elites were arrested, charged and dealt with – all the evil politicians, bureaucrats, and the like – what would the world be like? Would we have peace and harmony… and freedom?
Well, by studying human nature, I don’t think it would be too long before we dig ourselves another hole. It wouldn’t be long until greed, pride, prejudice and politics poke up their ugly head. It is all part of human nature.
Unless there is a change in the heart of people, every other reform is just a white-wash. And it is no good looking at the other person and seeing how they must change. The change needs to start in our own heart – with me – with you!
Get rid of bitterness and resentment, which eat away at our soul (and might I add, make us physically sick as well). Confess those things to God, the evil in our hearts, and ask him to heal and restore, and to help us love as he does.
May we see others through God’s eyes.
“BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART, FOR THEY SHALL SEE GOD.”
(Matthew 5:8)
“Try to live in peace with everyone. And try to keep your lives free from sin. Anyone whose life is not holy will never see the Lord. Be careful that no one fails to get God’s grace. Be careful that no one loses their faith and becomes like a bitter weed growing among you. Someone like that can ruin your whole group. Be careful that no one commits sexual sin. And be careful that no one is like Esau and never thinks about God. As the oldest son, Esau would have inherited everything from his father. But he sold all that for a single meal.”
(Hebrews 12:14-16, ERV)
