Thoughts on Climate Change and Moringa Trees
My Thoughts Changed
My thoughts on climate change have always been that the climate has been always changing and wondered why all the big deal. And on the other hand, I’ve always been environmentally conscious, because God has made us stewards of this beautiful earth, and we need to look after it.
But recently, I’m having different thoughts about the climate. I learned that climate scientists have been deliberately intervening with the Earth’s climate system on a large scale. (Google climate engineering.)
It seems that it is debatable as to whether it is for our good or for our harm. Whether the intention is good but could have adverse effects, or whether there are bad scientists out there doing bad stuff?? It does make me nervous when humans begin to try playing God, and mess with His creation. Humans are not perfect, and at best they make mistakes, and at worst they can be outright evil. I’d prefer that they left all this stuff to the Creator who made it.
A Gift from God
However, on a positive note, this all sent me on another train of thought. It got me thinking about a recent article I’d read about the moringa tree. (Something I’ve been supporting for years in Africa for its nutrition properties – also known as the miracle tree – the most nutrient-rich plant on earth – amazing results among African communities.)
The article said that recent studies in Japan have shown its incredible ability to absorb carbon (20 times higher than that of general vegetation and 50 times higher when compared to the Japanese cedar tree).
Moringa planting programs are already happening in Africa for its nutritional benefits, but this information has made me more aware of the potential of planting moringa trees. It thrives in tropical and sub-tropical regions. There are different species that are suited to different climates. (Another article.)
One video I watched showed how trees are dying around the globe because of the climate engineering. Moringa is one way to fight back. It certainly is a God given miracle tree – and the fact that it is so fast growing. What other plant could fight just as well?
Not only that, but it is also good for us as a superfood to build up our immune systems. I’d recommend anyone who can to plant at least one in your back yard.
More on Climate Engineering
I just watched this. It is rather disconcerting. Climate change is happening but not in the way we’ve been taught.
